Please ensure you hold AHPRA Registration

You are open to relocating to regional aged care

You can communicate effectively in English, both in writing and speaking, in a professional setting

Choose the Path That Best Matches Your Experience
To help us assess your application accurately, please select the option that reflects your most recent clinical background:
Aged Care Experience (Advantage)
You have worked in residential aged care, home care, or geriatric nursing (in Australia or overseas).
Medical/Surgical Hospital Experience
You have at least 2 years of medical/surgical ward nursing experience within the last 5 years, in addition to any other nursing experience you may have. However, you have limited or no direct experience in aged care.
Other Specialties
Your background includes ICU, ED, Theatre, Dialysis, Mental Health, or Community Health. You may require additional support to transition into aged care.
Our Recruitment Process
We aim to make your application smooth and supportive, from start to placement. Here’s what to expect:
Your Step-by-Step Recruitment Journey with Nursiecare Recruitment
• Full name, current address and contact details
• AHPRA registration number
• Recent clinical experience
• Nursing qualifications (e.g. Bachelor, Diploma)
• English test results (IELTS, OET, or PTE), if applicable
After submission:
• You will receive a confirmation email
• You’ll be asked to upload a 1–2-minute self-introduction video via a Google Drive link (sample provided)
• Our team will assess your application within 3–5 business days
If successful, you’ll move on to the next step.
These short courses are mandatory before interviews and cover:
• Aged Care Quality Standards
• Dementia care
• Palliative care
Virtual interviews are conducted via our secure platform. You’ll receive a link to select your availability.
Please ensure you:
- Choose a time within 48 hours
- Limit rescheduling to 2 times
Be mindful of time zones (support provided)
You’ll complete two interviews:
- Screening Interview
Assesses communication, motivation, and willingness to work in aged care and relocate to a regional area. - Technical Interview
Scenario-based questions covering: - The Aged Care Quality Standards
- Dementia and palliative nursing
- Core nursing topics like medication safety, escalation, scope of practice, teamwork, and documentation
Interviews may be recorded for compliance purposes.
You’ll be notified by email within 5–7 business days
If successful, your profile will be added to our active talent pool and shared with aged care employers based on their current needs.

- Employers make the final decision on who they shortlist
- We’ll contact you only if you’re selected for an employer interview
Timelines may vary, but your profile will remain in active consideration
While You Wait
While awaiting employer interviews, we recommend:
- Completing any remaining online training modules
- Practicing interview responses
- Keeping your contact details, visa status, and AHPRA registration up to date
