Requirements to Join Our Talent Pool
To start working as a Registered Nurse in Australia, you must apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) works with the NMBA to provide various services to Internationally Qualified nurses and midwives. Hence, applying to AHPRA is the first step toward achieving your dream Australian Nursing Career.
Eligibility Criteria
✔️ Active AHPRA Registration
✔️ Minimum 3 months full-time (or equivalent) experience in Aged Care
✔️ At least 3 years of total nursing experience
✔️ Willing to undergo ANMAC skills assessment (if required)
✔️ Open to relocating to regional areas
✔️ Committed to long-term opportunities and ready to move when required
✔️ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills & Requirements
✔️ Proficiency in or willingness to learn the AN-ACC funding system
✔️ Experience in clinical aged care, hospital, or community settings
✔️ Background in geriatric nursing, palliative care, or rehabilitation (desirable)
✔️ A commitment to prioritising residents’ health and well-being
✔️ Preferably with driving skills or willing to learn to drive
✔️ National Police Check or NDIS Workers Screening Check
✔️ Current influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations
